"eAmbulance" introduced in Međimurje County - faster and more efficient emergency medical service

After successfully completed test period, professional medical business platform, formally "eHitna" started to operate.

It is a complete IT platform of emergency medical service, which consist of three integrated parts: communication equipment, application part and GPS navigation with vehicle control feature. Each of these segments contributes to the improvement of work organization; from emergency medical help dispatch unit as a central unit to all mobile medical teams and better control over the performance of the emergency medical services, which is for Međimurje County located in the Institute.

Croatian national television, January 14th 2015.:

County prefect, simulating an emergency call on these new equipment, pointed out that with this solution these areas got a faster and efficient emergency medical care, and this is crucial because every second is extremely important during emergency interventions on the entire territory of this County. Calling telephone number 194 people directly communicate with specially trained nurses, dispatcher and disponent. Medical dispatch unit acts in accordance with the algorithm for emergency situations and also the levels of urgency and finally coordinates emergency responses. During the intervention, data processing is automated (data about vehicles and teams on emergency interventions, intervention period and other important information) and this also provides electronic reporting of each intervention. This solution is fully founded by the County and almost entirely uses equipment that is previously founded by World Bank.

Reform of emergency medicine continues to develop and is closer every day to European standards. It represents an important step forward in modern health organizational business.
