Avaya IP Office 8.1 now supports to 1000 users
Avaya IP Office was till software version 8.0 a communication platform intended for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) with up to 384 users.
That is a platform based on its own operating system and includes some of the communication applications and functionalities as are: firewall and VPN, Ethernet switch and software router, DHCP server, voice mail, voice recording, IVR, mobility, auto-attendant, 128-port audio conference bridge, point-to-point video conferences, basic ACD software or advanced contact center software for up to 150 agents. All that makes this platform easy to implement and at the same time cost effective.
With software version 8.1 available from mid of the year 2012., it increases the capacity up to 1000 users on one location thus makes Avaya IP Office as a „Enterprise“ platform intended for large organizations. In addition, to increase capacity, new version of the software also delivers centralized management and licensing, advanced mobility applications including Avaya Flare Communicator for iPad and Windows, SSL VPN secure remote access for system administration and automatic set-up with Avaya ERS 3500 series of switches.
